A little about myself...

I figured I should give a little background information about myself before i get into the hardcore blogging. I could have put a lot of this information in the About Me section but i thought it would be inappropriate to make that a blog itself.
I am the third and middle child of five in my family. 4 girls, 1 boy. All full-blood related siblings with the same parents, who are still married to this day. My parents moved to Redding, California a little before I was born i believe, and have resided here ever since.. skipping ahead here, I went to one year of regular High School (Shasta High) and then decided school was a waste of time so i enrolled in a homeschool that helped me complete my last three years of high school in two years. By the time I was seventeen, i was anxious and ready to leave home. I moved to Provo, Utah to live with my oldest sister Melissa and attend Paul Mitchell the School for Cosmetology.
After completing school in April of 2009, i wanted the HECK out of Provo and decided to go live with my sister Mimi and her husband Matt and my perfect little nephew Joshua in Tempe, Arizona. Provo will always have a special place in my heart. It's where i learned to really grow up, after all. And it's where I met some of the best people who I am still friends with today and am so grateful for. But i can honestly say that if i never had to go back, (which i have gone back, many times) i would be just fine. Anyways, After a couple months of fun in Tempe, i decided I didn't want to make Arizona my new home. Not at that time in my life anyway.. I would still love to go back one day and live there. Ironically, i decided that I wanted to move back to UTAH! Not back to Provo of course, but I missed my friends and cousins and one particular boy there. So after having a nice little break back home in Redding for a few weeks to "re-group" as my dad calls it, I was off to Salt Lake. I lived there for ten months. I worked in a couple different salons and made lots of new friends and really loved it there, despite the AWFUL weather (and the two random, odd roommates). But when the contract on my apartment came to an end, and my job began cutting hours, and other series of unfortunate events took place, I decided it was time to go home. That was in May.
Now that I have barely scratched the surface of my life story, I will get you up-to-date.
I have been here (home) much longer than i expected and hoped, but I am trying to take advantage of this time that i have in my beautiful house with my parents, and my baby brother and sister (almost 17 and almost 13) of this time where I don't have to worry about rent, utilities, or groceries. Being here has enabled me to go back to school.. and after vowing that i would never open another textbook or step foot into another classroom.. I have surprisingly enjoyed it and can't wait to start classes again in January. Even with all the hours in class and all the homework over the weekends, I love learning! Ha.. sounds a little cheesy, but i do. Being here over the summer also gave me the opportunity to be with my grandpa during his last days and that experience alone taught me SO much! I even got the honor of putting his makeup on him for his funeral.. which even though was a little unusual and difficult for me, it was also a very spiritual and rewarding experience.
I have also been able to go on countless trips with my family and friends in the time that i have been home. From small trips to southern California or Sacramento, to MANY trips to Utah, to a trip to Alabama with my best girl friends from cosmetology school, to Hawaii for 9 days with my parents and sister Julia! I really feel so lucky I was able to travel so much and see so many people I love in these past few months.
Now it is December, and although exercising and reading and cleaning have done a pretty good job filling up my free time, I am so ready for the whole family to be here so we can officially celebrate this Christmas season together!
